Hazmat and Serialized Inventory Fulfillment
KGH 3P Logistics provides specialized receiving, warehousing, order fulfillment, and shipping services for approved hazardous-material products, special-care items, and serialized inventory. Programs are structured around the specific products, handling requirements, order channels, destinations, and carrier rules involved.
KGH can receive and process approved hazmat or special-handling products while also maintaining unit-level control over serialized merchandise. Individual serial numbers can be recorded when products are received, linked to their warehouse locations, verified during order picking, and connected to the final shipment and destination history.
Hazmat handling and serialized tracking can be implemented independently or combined within one customized fulfillment program.

Fulfillment for Hazmat and Special-Handling Products
Products requiring hazardous-material or special-care handling cannot always move through the same process as a standard warehouse item. Product requirements can affect receiving, warehouse placement, access, picking, packaging, labeling, documentation, carrier selection, service level, and eligible shipping destinations.
Before a program begins, KGH reviews the proposed products and operating requirements. The client provides the applicable product information, safety data, existing classifications, packaging requirements, and shipping details needed for the review. KGH then confirms which products and workflows can be supported through the Louisville-area operation.

Receiving and Warehousing for Approved Products
Approved hazardous-material and special-care inventory is received against the available shipment and product documentation. Products are identified, recorded, and directed to the established warehouse location and handling process.
The approved workflow can include product-specific receiving instructions, location controls, access requirements, handling directions, and inventory records. These requirements are documented before routine receiving and fulfillment begin.
Picking, Packing, and Shipping
When an order is received, the applicable products are picked and verified according to the established process. Required packaging, marking, labeling, documentation, and carrier-service rules are completed or applied according to the approved product and shipping program.
Some hazardous-material products are restricted by product classification, package quantity, carrier, transportation method, or destination. KGH releases approved shipments only through the carrier and service options established for that program.
Support Standard and Special-Handling Products Together
Businesses with mixed catalogs can use KGH for standard products alongside approved hazmat, serialized, or special-care items. This reduces the need to divide related inventory and customer orders among unrelated warehouse and shipping providers.

Serialized Inventory Tracking From Receiving Through Shipment
Standard inventory tracking shows how many units of an item are available. Serialized inventory tracking identifies each individual unit and preserves its history as it moves through the warehouse and into an outbound order.
1
Define the Serial-Tracking Requirements
KGH and the client establish which products require unit-level tracking, how serial numbers are formatted or provided, when they must be captured, and what shipment history must be retained.
2
Capture Serial Numbers at Receiving
Each applicable unit is received and recorded using its individual serial number. The serial number remains connected to the applicable product and inbound inventory record.
3
Link Each Unit to Its Warehouse Location
The recorded serial number is assigned to the location where that exact unit is held. If the unit is moved, the inventory record can be updated so the warehouse location remains connected to the serial-number history.
4
Pick and Verify the Exact Serialized Unit
When an order is processed, the required serialized unit is selected and verified. This confirms which physical unit is being removed from inventory rather than recording only a reduction in the SKU quantity.
5
Connect the Serial Number to the Shipment
Before the order leaves KGH, the serial number is tied to the applicable outbound order, shipment, ship date, and destination. This establishes which unit was sent and where it was shipped.
6
Maintain Unit-Level Shipment History
The resulting history can show which serialized products remain in the warehouse, where each unit is located, and the outbound destination associated with units that have already shipped.

Do Your Products Require More Control Than Standard Fulfillment?
Do you ship hazardous-material or special-care products that require defined receiving, handling, packaging, labeling, documentation, or carrier processes? Do you need to know which serialized units are in the warehouse, exactly where they are located, and where each shipped unit was sent?
KGH 3P Logistics combines warehouse execution, special-handling experience, shipping coordination, and unit-level serialized tracking within one customized program. This gives businesses greater control over products that cannot be managed as ordinary interchangeable inventory.
To evaluate a potential program, provide information about the products, applicable hazardous-material documentation or classifications, serial-number requirements, inventory volume, order activity, sales channels, shipping destinations, and carrier needs.
After the form is submitted, a KGH executive will review the proposed products and operating requirements to determine whether KGH can support the requested hazmat, special-handling, serialized tracking, and shipping workflow.
